This protein may catalyze one or both of the reduction reaction in fatty acid elongation, i.e., conversion of beta-ketoacyl CoA to beta-hydroxyacyl CoA or reduction of trans-2-enoyl CoA to the saturated acyl CoA derivative (By similarity). |
